To drive real change, we must bring people together. Facilitating collaboration and knowledge exchange is at the heart of Texcana’s mission.
That’s why our team regularly organizes business missions with our partners and collaborators. These missions create valuable opportunities to connect with key industry players, explore new business avenues, and strengthen our collective impact on the energy transition.
Through these initiatives, Texcana strengthens its ecosystem, connecting businesses, experts, and decision-makers to accelerate the transition toward a cleaner, more sustainable energy future.
On February 24, the Texcana team had the chance to visit the Belledune power plant and the Port of Belledune, in the company of Guy Penard from Yilkins.
It was a landmark day for Texcana, as we explored the region's energy future with NB Power. The visit was a key moment in our understanding of the NB Power team's Belledune power plant conversion project, which represents an important step towards more sustainable and innovative energy solutions. This project is a model for the transition to greener, more responsible energy for many communities here and abroad.
“It's very exciting to be able to contribute to projects that are making the energy transition a reality here in Canada. The Belledune plant represents a great opportunity to transform the way we produce energy, while respecting our environment,” explains Texcana co-founder FélixGrenier.
At Texcana, we're proud to support this transition and to work with our partners to build a cleaner, smarter energy future.
During his visit to Chapleau, Félix Grenier of Texcana had the opportunity to engage with key industry and community leaders. Among them were Jean Bérubé, CEO of SmartMill, as well as Michel Lessard and Chris McDonnell, respectively CEO and Chief Forester Officer of GreenFirst Forest Products.
The discussions also included Ryan Bignucolo, Mayor of the Township of Chapleau (featured in the third photo, center). In addition, valuable exchanges took place with representatives of First Nations, including Sebastien Niemi, Forestry Liaison Specialist for Michipicoten First Nation, Keeter Corston, Chief of the Chapleau Cree First Nation, and David Flood, General Manager of Wahkohtowin Development GP Inc. Despite the absence of photos, these conversations highlighted the importance of collaboration and sustainable development in the region.
